  5. Versatility: The stitch can be adapted for various projects beyond blankets, such as pillows, scarves, or even clothing items, allowing for creativity in different forms.

  6. Unique Technique: Crocheters enjoy learning and mastering unique techniques like this that set their work apart from standard patterns.

  7. Customization: It provides opportunities for customization with different yarn colors and sizes of flowers, allowing for personalization.

YARN SELECTION

For this project, we’re sticking with our go-to, Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash Merino. This yarn is perfect for its lovely sheen, soft feel, and the added bonus of being machine washable—ideal for a project that's going to get a lot of love.

Color Choice: For Square Five, we're using color #107/ Slate Rose. This is a rouge pink color that complements the purple color palette perfectly!

Special Instructions: Circle - Work (FPdc, ch 3) x 5 around next dc post. Working these stitches down the length of the same post. Then flip the project and work (FPdc, ch 3) x 5 around the dc post of the st right next to it. After the 5th FPdc + ch 3, pull circle forward to find the top of the dc st we made the first 5 FPdc’s around. Dc in the top of that stitch to close the circle.

Row 5: ch 2, turn, dc in the first 8 sts, sk over the Circle, find the next dc worked in that row,

continue making one dc in each st across, skipping the Circle Post sts.

Row 10-11: ch 2, turn, make one dc in each st across. (Total 48 sts)

Row 12-26: Repeat Rows 4-11

Row 27: (for the square to hit the dimensions we need we need to make one more row. Just let this last

Tie off and weave in your ends.

Block the square pinning the flower/circles as well to define shapes.
