YARN SELECTION
For this project, we’re sticking with our go-to, Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash Merino. This yarn is perfect for its lovely sheen, soft feel, and the added bonus of being machine washable—ideal for a project that's going to get a lot of love.
Color Choice: For Square Nine, we're using color #108/ Burgundy. This is a redish-purple color that complements the color palette perfectly!

PATTERN INSTRUCTION:
Foundation Chain: Start by chaining 54.
Row 1: Dc in the 4th ch from your crochet hook (3 skipped chs count as a dc and a ch 1 sp),
sk next 4 chs, in next ch work (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) - shell made,
*sk next 4 chs, in next ch work (dc, ch 2, dc) - V st made, sk next 4 chs, in next ch work
(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc),*
Repeat to across row. Last 5 chs, sk the first 4, in last ch make (dc, ch 1, dc).
(Total 5 shells, 6 V's)
Row 2: ch 3, turn, (counts as first dc and ch 1) make 3 dc in the first ch 1 sp,
in next ch 2 sp make (dc, ch 2, dc),
*in ch 2 sp of next V st make a shell, in ch 2 sp of next shell make a V st.*
Repeat to across row ending row with a (3 dc , ch 1, 1 dc) in last ch 1 sp.
Row 3: ch 3, turn, make one dc in the first ch 1 sp to make a V,
*Shell in the ch 2 of next V st, V st in the ch 2 of the next shell st.*
Repeat to across row ending row with a (dc, ch 1, dc) in last ch 1 sp.
Row 4: ch 3, turn, make 3 dc in the first ch 1 sp,
*V st in the ch 2 of the shell sts, shell st in the ch 2 of the V sts.*
Repeat to across row ending row with a (3 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) in the last ch 1 sp.
Row 5-25: Repeat Rows 3 & 4
Row 26: ch 1, turn, sc in the first dc, sc in the ch 1 sp, ch 4, sc in the next ch 2,
repeat ch 4, sc in the next ch 2 sp across, ending row by making a sc in the last ch 1 sp,
sc in the last st.
Tie off and weave in your ends.
Block the square pinning the flower/circles as well to define shapes.
